EN The construction of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption began in 1605 on a site given by Gaspard d'Arcussia who paid one-third of the work. She succeeded the oldest Saint James church, judged to be too remote and too cramped. It was completed in 1625.
Originally of rectangular plan, it was flanked by 4 lateral chapels and a cure in the seventeenth and eighteenth century.
