Le Parc Gilbert Vilers est situé au cœur du Jas de Bouffan, longeant l'avenue Saint-John Perse, à l'ouest de la ville.

Le site, créé et aménagé à partir de 1978, porte le nom du chef des jardins en fonction entre 1966 et 1981.

L'aménagement de ce parc de 5 hectares de style paysager s'intègre aux espaces verts d'accompagnement des immeubles et du paysage environnant. Le cheminement piéton qui le traverse est un véritable lien entre les différents quartiers du Jas de Bouffan. Les mouvements de sol fortement vallonnés font partie des points forts de l'aménagement. Un ensemble de chemins dessert les principaux éléments attractifs et décoratifs : un plan d'eau d'une superficie de 2000 m², des jeux d'enfants et un théâtre de verdure de 800 places, semi-circulaire type théâtre antique grec. Les plantations sont constituées de bosquets et d'arbres choisis parmi les espèces régionales ainsi que 4 hectares de pelouses accessibles au public.

L'été, des concerts sont organisés au Théâtre de Verdure ainsi que des projections cinématographiques et parfois même la rediffusion de spectacles du Festival d'Aix.

A milieu du parc, une zone, interdite aux chiens, est dédiée aux enfants avec quelques jeux.

Gilbert Vilers Park is located in the heart of Jas de Bouffan, along Saint-John Perse Avenue, west of the city.

The site, created and arranged from 1978, bears the name of the head of the gardens in function between 1966 and 1981.

The layout of this 5-hectare park in a landscaped style integrates with the green space to accompany the buildings and the surrounding landscape. The pedestrian path that runs through it is a true link between the different neighborhoods of Jas de Bouffan. Highly undulating ground movements are among the highlights of the development. A set of paths serves the main attractive and decorative elements: a 2000 m² lake, children's playground and a 800-seat theater of semi-circular Greek theater. The plantations are made up of groves and trees selected from regional species and 4 hectares of lawns accessible to the public.

In summer, concerts are organized at the Théâtre de Verdure as well as cinematographic screenings and sometimes even the re-broadcast of performances of the Festival d'Aix.

In the middle of the park, an area, forbidden to dogs, is dedicated to children with some games.
