St. Phillipus
The person:
Philip (* in Bethsaida, Galilee; † presumably about 81 in Scythia in today's Ukraine) belongs to the Twelve Apostles of Jesus (Matthew 10: 3). It is to be distinguished from the deacon and later evangelist Philip, mentioned in the book of the Apostles (Acts 6: 5), even though the two philosopher biographies were mistakenly connected in the legendary formation.
