Honoring
Doris Foley
Teacher - Writer - Historian
1904 - 1982
Doris was a charter member of the Nevada County Historical Society and led the drive that established a museum here at the Nevada Hose Company No. 1 Firehouse. A school teacher and respected writer, she chronicled local history and spearheaded creation of the Searls Historical Library on Church Street.
