Freedom Baptist Church is located in rural Brown Township, Montgomery County, Indiana. It is about 3 miles west of State Road 47 on State Road 234 and 3 miles east of Shades State Park, or 4 miles from Lake Waveland Park.

The beginning of what is now the Freedom Baptist Church was started in 1835, in the homes of the founding members. In 1838 the first building was constructed. That building was replaced, in 1883, with a new larger building that is still the center of the existing church building today. (visit link)

Montgomery County is a county in the U.S. state of Indiana. As of 2010, the population was 38,124. The county seat is Crawfordsville.
