Striking memorial located in the airpark of the National Air Force Museum of Canada.

The Battle of Britain began in 1940 and continued until Hitler shelved his British invasion plans in 1941. 112 Canadians assisted the RAF in the defence of Britain. 47 Canadian Airmen died during the Battle. 401 (1 RCAF) Squadron was the only Canadian fighter squadron to see action during the Battle.


The memorial lists all Canadian air crew who served in the Battle of Britain. Those who were killed have KIA emblazoned after their name and squadron.
