Uplifted Ground is a massive, several hundred yard long sculpture made mostly from Tetris-shaped granite rock cuttings.

The walkway from the Austin Airport Terminal to the rental car area is a long walkway with a granite sculpture located like a median strip on the walkway. Several irregular shaped rocks are stacked and hung from wire forming cubes of all different designs.

A plaque reads:

The hundreds of earth-toned, grounded and suspended elements of
this large-scale artwork were inspired by local geological formations,
native minerals, and aerial photography. During the dad, the delicate
reflection of the embedded metals in accompanied by shifting
geometric patterns of shadows; at night, light emerges from the
elements creating a graceful dance of light along the walkway. The
artwork is also an integral part of the structural design for the walkway.
