In 1924 a Narembeen Branch of the Western Australian Bank opened. In 1927 the bank amalgamated with, and became known as, the Bank of New South Wales. In 1928 the Banking Chamber was added to the front of the existing Bank house. It continued to operate as a bank until it was converted to a private residence in the 1980's
