Bust relief sculpture of the first permanent settler in Bandera, TX. It is almost impossible to read his name and dates (1825-1927) at the top of the sculpture.

Sculpture is inlaid in a red granite upright marker in front of the Bandera County Courthouse. In addition to the bust of Amasa there is a covered wagon pulled by oxen in the lower right corner of the plaque.

This sculpture is badly in need of treatment/restoration before it totally disappears.
