Description:
William Scott lived from 1804 -1862. He served as the 9th Judicial Circuit Judge from 1835 to 1841. He went on to be Judge of the Supreme Court of Missouri from 1841 to 1862. "Judge Scott served the State as Judge of the Supreme Court of Missouri for about 18 years. He died in 1862 and was buried on his farm about eight miles west of Jefferson City on the Boonville Road. His farm subsequently passed out of the ownership of his heirs, and was occupied by tenants. His grave became a horse lot, unfenced and trampled upon by stock.
