The church congregation is 21. The Town of Sanford has a population of "2,407 at the 2010 census". McClure is a hamlet in Sanford. The church is located at 45 State Hwy. 41; the postal address is Windsor, NY 13865. This is an old white rural church with a cemetery on a hill. As a basic white church, it is hard to tell its age. The area was settled after the Revolution. It is common in the area to build the first church in the early 1800s, often wood churches. Since the settlement never grew large, the church is probably the original church. There are 451 internments listed in the cemetery behind the church, including founder William Mc Clure. The deaths are at least as early as 1820. If the cemetery and the church were built at the same time, that would put the church building around 1820.

The pastor is listed for both North Sanford and McClure churches. Sharing ministers is one way to keep small congregations going.
