"A 19-year-old man was arrested in a suspected drunk driving collision that killed a bicyclist in Campbell on Sunday afternoon, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.

Damian Joseph Sandoval-Pacheco, of Campbell, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter, CHP Officer Ross Lee said.

Sandoval-Pacheco was speeding in a 1997 Ford Mustang on northbound San Tomas Expressway north of Winchester Boulevard, where he lost control of the vehicle while traveling downhill, Lee said.

The vehicle struck a man, who was ejected from a Cannondale bicycle and landed on the right shoulder. The Ford veered to the left and crashed into a concrete center divider before it came to a stop on northbound lanes, according to Lee." (visit link)
