Full-length portrait of John H. Reagan. He is standing in front of an oversized armchair. He wears a suit with bow tie and a long overcoat. His left arm is extended as if gesturing. The bronze sculpture stands on a multi-stepped concrete base.
Extended out in front of the center of the base is a block. Seated on the block is the full-length bronze figure of a Roman soldier depicting the lost cause of the Confederacy.
He wears a helmet, a cloak draped around his waist and across his knees, and sandals. His helmet has 13 stars on the front of it, depicting the Confederate states. He sits with his right elbow on his right knee, resting his chin on his right hand which is balled into a fist. His left arm is slightly bent. His feet rest on an outcropping of the concrete base.
