This rusted iron marker memorializes Barry Myers and his occupation as a cowboy. The marker is propped up from the ground on the head end and is in the shape of a cross, surmounted by a cowboy hat with a banner across the very top. Beneath the marker is a coiled lariat and a horse shoe. The marker sits over an oval of crushed granite surrounded by stones. Punched through the marker, starting with the banner, are the words In Loving Memory of Barry Myers, 11-18-59, 8-30-09. The lariat is real, not a part of the marker, as is the horse shoe. The cemetery is, by design, kept in its natural desert landscaping. This is the land this cowboy would have ridden and loved.
