This spring is located about 5 minutes from Old Faithful Geyser.

"The next thermal feature east of East Chinaman Spring is Blue Star Spring, one of the numerous beautiful blue pools in the Upper Geyser Basin. The vent is enclosed by a thin, overhanging ring of orange-grey sinter and produces a relatively small amount of water, flowing north into the adjacent Firehole River. The spring has been known to erupt on rare occasions, but is usually calm, simmering only gently. Because of the proximity to the crowds at Old Faithful, the vent receives quite a large amount of litter, which has to be cleaned out periodically.
To the east, the trail encounters a small strip of woodland and begins to loop back to Old Faithful; the Upper Geyser Basin tour continues by turning left (north), crossing the Firehole River, past another junction with the path to Observation Point and then entering the Geyser Hill Group of thermal features."
Note...although the spring is free and easily accessible to the public to see.... one is not permitted to touch or enter the spring.
Temperature isn't listed at the site...but the temperature for nearby Old Faithful (which no doubt shares these waters) is known to be 118 centigrade...so, that temperature is placed in the box below.
