Coordinates are on an historic marker placed by Save Ontario Shipwrecks.
The Weehawk was a ferryboat sold for scrap in 1961. However, before it could be broken u, it was deliberately scuttled in the old Lock 28 of the Galop Canal, the precursor to the St Lawrence Seaway locks of today.
