Gingin Railway Station built in 1891 is a brick and rendered building in the style of an English station with attached stationmaster’s quarters, the building is unique as the only Midland Railway Company station that retains the majority of its original form and is an example of a Victorian era railway building in the Vernacular style
Passenger trains have not used the line for the past 30 years and have been replaced by TransWA coaches, the line is mainly used for transporting minerals and grain
