Hlavní oltár a sousoší Nanebevzetí a štyr evangelistu vytvoril brnenský mistr O.Schweigel v první polovine 19.století.

EN:
There is no church as a church. The one in Bzenec is a beautiful example of the early Baroque and, moreover, forms a dignified dominance of the main square, although it stands a bit away. The one-nave temple, raised at the main entrance of the towers, is located roughly northeast and is housed among trees of a small hillock. At the staircase we find the Baroque sculpture of the Holy Trinity, which used to be an ornament of the market, but it was transferred here. She was the first birthing sacred structure dedicated to the Holy Trinity, but it was still the first church, which is mentioned in the historical sources in 1235. When the visit from Uher (Bockajovci) was not started, the beginning of the 17th century was burned and after The repair had to remain eight years without bells. As the end of the century approached, the old temple ceased to fulfill the needs and aspirations of both the parish priest and the believer, and thanks to the generosity (and finances) of Earl J. Proskovsky, a new church was built.

It happened in 1702 and its more than satisfactory form was not only won by local master masters, but of course thanks to a plan that perhaps originated from the workshop of architect Giovanni Pietro Tencala. (It is like a good film - he must first have a good scenario, otherwise it goes to the green grove as with the present Czech production ...) The slim temple boat reaches 13 m wide, 45 m long and its cylindrical vault is located At a height of 12 meters. From the north, a sacristy is attached to the temple ship, which has an oratory on the floor. The main entrance is decorated with the coat of arms of Count Kryštof and his wife Marie Rosalie. Before you go inside (if it's open), wipe the view of the tower above your head: this form only bears back to 1746 - it was originally its lower part but it was a high and slim wooden superstructure. From the rare decoration of the interior, it is necessary to highlight the image of the baptism of Jesus, originating from the 18th century. The main altar and sculptural group of the Assumption and four evangelists were created by master O.Schweigel in the first half of the 19th century. Just as old (or younger) is the other decoration.

The new bells on the church tower for great glory were added in 1930, the interior of the temple was completed after the last World War by objects from the chapel of St. Florian, the city dominance, which at the end of the war Germans irretrievably destroyed. On the very good state of today's precious sacral building, the extensive reconstruction that took place in 2008 was definitely signed. After it, the roofs and the roof were repaired, the wall paintings were restored in the interior ... and because we live in the Middle Ages, but also in the temples we use all the achievements of civilization, we also replaced the wiring. I would still like to mention that under the old church there were old crypts in the underground, in which the remains of not only the priests of Bzenec were saved, but their eternal dream also dreams of Count Kryštof, his wife and other members of the family. And also that the charming park with several Baroque sculptures of saints did not come here at the time of the construction of a new church, but until 1812 there was an old cemetery in these places ...
