The original structure for this Catholic parish was built at First Street and Brown in Scottsdale in 1933 to serve the Mexican immigrant families who worked the cotton fields and citrus orchards. Services were also provided to the nearby Yaqui indian settlement. The current site was first occupied in 1956. The current building was completed in 1978 with the older building still part of the complex. An elementary school is operated on the site.
