The cement block school house was built in 1930. In 1940, land was bought to expand the school grounds. The school operated until 1968 when it was sold to the Township for use as a local community centre.
It is still in use by several civic groups as well.
S.S. No. 7 is accessible off CR 36 east of Buckhorn.
