This new Buddhist temple (under construction in June 2017) is a large, towering edifice on the Mekong River foreshore, on the eastern side of the river, in the 'good' part of town. At this date most of the substantial work has been completed, but the grounds and interior are bereft of fittings.
In design the temple is in an early Thai style. This reflects the local culture of this part of China, which has a large Thai influence an population. Before the temple is a large, paved open area.
There is no English language information available, thought there is a sign in Chinese. I am not even sure of the name.
