This water tower is a holdover from the days of the Rohanen Community that worked at the area textile mills. Today the water tower provides water storage for the homes, the school, and the local businesses that remain in the old mill village. There two other water towers, one of which was a brick water tower. They are gone now, leaving the last remaining community water tower to serve the folks that live around its base.
