This 15 foot tall stainless steel sculpture is located in the R. R. Osborne Plaza. The plaza is just west of the Olathe City Hall located at 100 E Santa Fe. The sculpture can be seen either as a stylized tree or sail. There are different objects on the sculpture, both front and back, representing the life and philanthropy of R. R. Osborne. The sculpture almost seems to change depending on the angle it is viewed.
There is a marker in the center of the plaza - I will give the introduction and the section germaine to the sculpture:

Robert R. Osborne - Olathe banker, businessman, and philanthropist, 1904-2001. His longstanding community leadership and unfailing support for those in need helped shape Olathe and its institutions. The art works in this plaza are intended to honor one of Olathe's greatest citizens and inspire future generations of Olatheans to give back to the community.

The intricate aligning of thousands of pieces of steel makes reference to the Santa Fe Trail, the railroads, Olathe Medical Center, Kansas School for the Deaf, Mid America Nazarene University, and many other entities that have interplayed to make Olathe what it is today.
