A plaque commemorating the opening of Phoenix Green, Coalville, in 2006. The plaque situated at the base of the Sustrans Phoenix Green Milepost reads:

PHOENIX GREEN

This plaque commemorates
the opening of Phoenix Green
by Mr David Bill, CC,
Chairman of Leicestershire County Council,
on 5th May 2006.
This bridge and adjoining public open space were provided
by Leicestershire County Council with funding from the
Leicester Shire Economic Partnership, the Big Lottery Fund,
Sustrans, The Onyx Environmental Trust, WREN
(Waste Recycling Environmental Ltd.), the National Forest
Company, North West Leicestershire District Council,
Leicestershire County Council and the Department  for
Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Network Rail
generously donated part of the land required for the scheme
and in kind support was provided by David Wilson Homes.
