Jedediah became a soldier at 16 and was in the battle at White Plaines and afterwards stationed at West Point, where he witnessed the execution of Major Andre. He was a private in Col. Enos Reg. Capt Beebe's Co. Connecticut state troops. He was in OH at the time of the 1820 consensus. At his death, he owned 200 acres
