Close to current Stradonice village was discovered old Celtic oppidum (visit link) .
The Celtic oppidum (visit link) in Stradonice was built on Hradište Hill. The oldest stage of the fortification dates back to 120 B.C. In its heyday the fortification protected a total area of about 90.3 hectares. In 1877 a treasure of 200 golden coins was found here. Since this time this locality has been explored and many unique finds were discovered. It was rich oppidum and a centre of craftsmen.
