The sculpture shows a native American woman kneeling in front of a stream (the fountain) She's wearing a traditional native American dress. The back of the sculpture is inscribed with: "Tsceminicum - The Nez Perce Indian word meaning meeting of the waters. Historically the name for this confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers. This sculpture by Nancy N Dreher. Commisioned by the US Army Corps of Engineers interprets Indian mythology with its symbolic Earth Mother at the headwatersof these rivers. Represented are the native wildlife of the area presided over by the coyote -- most important fiiure in Nez Perce Legends."
