"The Skattaboe Block is a two-story commercial building distinguished by a rounded corner and Romanesque character. Its second story windows are round arched rising from brick pilasters with caps. The structure's verticality, as conveyed by brick pilasters, is balanced through the use of wide brick bandings between the first and second stories. The building terminates with a brick cornice with the pilasters contributing to the ornamentation with round arched recesses and square caps. All first story openings, including the recessed corner entry, have segmental arches as do the front windows on the second story. The second story side^windows continue the motif of the corner."
