The school bell was removed in 1945 after being in use for 65yrs. Somehow it came into the possession of the St.John Ambulance Brigade who presented it to the parish in 1983. The dates are recorded on a plaque on the supporting pole.

The bell, complete with clapper, is mounted on a headstock under a small roofed structure on the support pole and is capable of being swung by hand, it's about 7in., 20cm., in diameter. The structure is on the village green along with a K6 'phone box, the village sign, and several seats.
