visit link) "The Minister for Justice (Mr. Downing) has advised Cessnock Council that £4,500 has been allocated for improvements to Cessnock Courthouse.
"The improvements will include the provision of a Jury box, a Judge's room, a professional room, and a room for the jury."
A highly polished, grey marble plaque on the front of the courthouse reads:
"This stone was laid by
The Hon. D.R. Hall M.L.C.
Minister of Justice and Solicitor General
on the 13th day of November 1913"
