Originally when constructed as a memorial to the district pioneers in 1968 at the instigation of the Moora Rotary club there were only four slender vertical concrete columns supporting the clock.By 2003 the clock was no longer working and a decision was made to replace it, in 2005 new electric clocks were installed together with four steel and glass panels, each of which depicted a different theme, local flora, fauna, family and music.
There is a round white dial on the east and west facing clocks with black numerals and hands. The clock tower is lit from inside at night which gives a different perspective of the panels.
