Originally when constructed as a memorial to the district pioneers in 1968 at the instigation of the Moora Rotary club there were only four slender vertical concrete columns supporting the clock.By 2003 the clock was no longer working and a decision was made to replace it, in 2005 new electric clocks were installed together with four steel and glass panels, each of which depicted a different theme,local flora, fauna, family and music.
A plaque at the western base is inscribed -
"A symbol of appreciation of the courage and fortitude of the pioneers of this area
Sponsored amd erected by the Rotary Club of Moora, Clock donated and installed by Moora Talkie Trust Inc. Funds by public subscription.
Unveiled by the Hon David Brand M.L.A. Premierr of Western Australia. 12th July 1968"
