This wonderful old church was begun in 1858. It was designed by Thomas Fuller, who was the architect of the original Parliament Buildings in Ottawa

The church, built in stone with mini-buttress reinforcements, was originally privately financed. However, funding ran out and construction halted for several year. Finally, in 1864 construction began again, with completion in 1869.

The church is a template for scores of other churches throughout Ontario.

Services are still held regularly on Sundays at 9:30 AM.
Year built or dedicated as indicated on the structure or plaque: 1869
