IBC Monument 553 - Stanstead, QC / Derby Line, VT - Canadian Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

The monument is located along the sidewalk on the E side of Rue Church, and N of Caswell Ave. This benchmark is often photographed by tourists visiting this unique library and unusual boundary location. Here Stanstead residents can cross the border into the US to enter the Library (the entrance is in Derby Line, VT) & return without having to go through Customs or present a passport.


There are several markers nearby noting the history of the Library & how it was intentionally built so that it would reside in both Quebec & Vermont.
