It is a very steep drive down to this crossing, but the bitumen road is in good condition. Indeed MUCH better than the first time I had been out here, when I was 14 years old, and walked all the way out, to where I went this Sunday (4 June, 2017) to get to the Nepean River "Australian Trig Points" Trig. Now there is a section of raised concrete slabs over Glenbrook Creek, that allows pedestrians to walk over the causeway with dry feet, unless there has been recent rain. Not so, back in 1973. The road was mostly gravel, and only stepping stones for pedestrians.
Ahh, the memories. Revisited: Sunday, 4 June, 2017
