Nice surprise as I rounded the corner and saw this water tower at an abandoned work site. The former cotton gin repurposed for a pallet factory.

The water tower supplied water pressure and water storage for the water system on the property. The water tower storage provided water for human consumption, fire protection, and industry. This was necessary this area years ago due to lack of county water systems and modern fire departments.
