EN: This wooden fountain is located on a hiking trail east of the mountain station of the Wasserfallen gondoöla lift, about 300 meters north of Hinter Egg, the highest point of the canton Basel-Landschaft.
The fountain has a wooden trough consisting of a single hollowed tree trunk. The column also consists of a stem with a branch, where the tube is attached.
The fountain is not dated and neither has any other inscriptions. The water is drinkable. In Switzerland, fountain water is always drinkable if there is no sign saying otherwise, but with so remote fountains this is not very common.
DE: Dieser Holzbrunnen steht an einem Wanderweg östlich der Bergstation der Wasserfallengondelbahn etwa 300 Meter nördlich von Hinter Egg, dem höchsten Punkt des Kantons Basel-Landschaft.
Der Brunnen hat einen Holztrog der aus einem einzigen ausgehölten Baumstamm besteht. Der Brunnenstock besteht ebenfalls aus einem Stamm mit einem Aststück, wo die Röhre angebracht ist.
Der Brunnen ist nicht datiert und hat auch sonst keine Beschriftungen. Das Wasser ist trinkbar. In der Schweiz ist Brunnenwasser grundsätzlich trinkbar, wenn es kein anders lautendes Schild hat, aber bei so abgelegenen Brunnen ist das nicht ganz selbstverständlich.
