Trails: Mount Carleton Provincial Park offers 10 trails totalling more than 60 km and the Maritime's tallest mountain at 820 metres (2,690 feet). Two other peaks, Mt Sagamook (777 metres) and Mt Head (792 metres) are also in the park. Many of the trails can be quite challenging (see the trail descriptions on the park's website). A section of the International Appalchian Trail passes through the park connecting Maine's Mount Katahdin to the Gaspé.
