These metal abstract "water bug" type insect sculptures are located on the north side of the Olathe Downtown Community Garden. The insect on the far left appears to be burying himself in the dirt. The center insect is raised high upon its legs. The right insect appears to be scurrying away. These insects are again abstract, but closely resemble water bugs that can be seen on local ponds dansing on the water.

Description:
The sculpture is made up of three bug-like figures of different sizes and shapes. It is meant to reflect upon the progressive experience of life and how we change and mature after years of learning and interacting with people. Sometimes we run into an old acquaintance that we knew many years ago but the relationship is not the same and both people seem alien to each other.
