"Before retiring, he was a business agent for Laborers Local Union 158. In addition to a distinguished career in union work, Jerry was an accomplished professional fighter who, on many exciting nights, thrilled audiences with his skilled determination. Jerry also contributed to the development of many area boxers and was always eager to help young people acquire and maintain an interest in sports."
