The front panel shows an angel, either in prayer or in supplication, with the family name, "Rains", on the plinth. The inscription is:

The floral detailing so common to these monuments is present on all side, and the main panel is the only one with text. The other panels show a cross with roses, a set of clasped hands, and a wreath of roses. Depictions of ribbons on the plinth might indicate that plans were had for other family members, or perhaps this was all that was available at the time.
