[DE] In der Kapelle am Kurfürstendamm in Andernach steht die Statue des Hl. Johannes von Nepomuk.
Hl. Johannes von Nepomuk
Die Heiligenfigur stand bis 1936 in einer Kapelle an der Straßenecke Breitestraße / Aktienstraße, ursprünglich nahe an einer kleinen Brücke über den Kennelbach. Um 1750 wurde die Kapelle mit der Tuffsteinfigur von Johann Michael Rörig(*1691 in Andernach, +1757 in Wien) gestiftet. Das Wappen des Stifters, das dieser bei seiner Erhebung in den Adelsstand erhielt, ist über dem Eingang angebracht.
Nach mehrfachem Ortswechsel kehrte die Figur des Hl. Johannes im Jahre 2005 an den nach dem Heiligen benannten Platz zurück. Die Johannes-Nachbarschaft hat die Pflege dieser neuen Kapelle, bei der Säulen der alten Barockkapelle verwendet wurden, übernommen.

Saint John of Nepomuk
Up to 1936 the statue of the saint was set up in a chapel situated at the streetcorner of Breitestraße and Aktienstraße, originally next to little bridge across the brook Kennelbach. About 1750 the chapel together with the statue of the saint were founded by Johann Michael Rörig (born in Andernach 1691, deceased in Vienna in 1757). The founder's coat of arms wich was conferred to him when he was raised to the peerage has been put up above the entrance.
In the year 2005 - after several changes of location - the statue of Saint John has returned to the square wich has been named after the Saint. The John's Neighbours Association have taken over the maintenance of this new chapel wich the columns of the old baroque chapel have been reused for.
