This is beside the reserve (Wingham Constructed Wetlands), that has become the run-off water treatment area for commercial Wingham. The wetlands is also home to a re-birthed Geocache: (visit link)

There have been bigger floods, but the 1978 one was certainly significant, in that the flood rose 15 metres at The Bight bridge just the other side of Wingham, on the road to Tinonee!
