Current appearance of this small house is a result of its complicated and more than 500 years long history. Originally more spacious Gothic house was built by Kolín' scribe Jakub of Vrbice (Jakub z Vrbice) in 1480 at the site of medieval bread shops. House was divided into two separate buildings in 1527, when its western part became a property of cobbler Václav Hlavicka (murdered here by his wife Anna in 1559...). Rebuilt in Baroque style by its next owner Daniel Oliva in 1687 and again in the same style after great fire in 1796. House was then generally renovated in 1975, when brothers Jan and Ladislav Kamarýt restored also Renaissance sundial on its front facade. Original Baroque entrance door is equipped by Rococo ironwork, handle and lock. House, reconstructed in 2009, is currently residential building owned by Kolín Roman Catholic parish.
