The Invermere/Columbia Valley Visitor Centre was placed along Highway 95 instead in the town, the better to catch the tourists whizzing by on the highway.

In a fairly new building, the visitor centre has all the usual visitor centre amenities, as well as meeting rooms that can be rented for various uses. They have a hall that seats 133 people as well as a 10 person boardroom and office, both of which can be rented. In the Columbia Valley tourist area, which extends from Radium Hot Springs, to the north, and Fairmont Hot Springs, to the south, this is the major visitor centre.
