En 1868, la succession Persillier dit Lachapelle fait construire un magasin-entrepôt de trois étages et demi. Il s'agit très probablement d'une reconstruction après un incendie, le rez-de-chaussée étant très semblable à celui de l'imposante maison-magasin remplacée, construite environ 25 ans plus tôt et dont la fonction était mixte, soit commerciale et résidentielle. L'architecte du nouveau bâtiment est Narcisse Larue.
Le magasin-entrepôt comprend à l'origine deux espaces locatifs de différentes grandeurs. Le bâtiment accueille donc deux premiers occupants. Durant onze ans, de 1869 à 1880, William L. Haldimand & Co., quincailliers en gros et au détail, y loue le plus grand espace locatif, l'entreprise occupant fort probablement le rez-de-chaussée en plus d'une partie des étages. Il est intéressant de noter que ce locataire occupait l'ancien bâtiment depuis au moins 1851. De 1869 à 1870, le négociant Hyacinthe Busseau loue également un espace, plus modeste que celui de William L. Haldimand & Co. La fonction d'origine de ce magasin-entrepôt est résolument commerciale.
Après le départ de William L. Haldimand & Co., plusieurs locataires s'installent dans le bâtiment mais n'y demeurent pas très longtemps. De la fin du XIXe siècle aux années 1940, un sellier, deux quincailliers, un marchand de dry goods, un importateur de produits de luxe, un manufacturier de savon et une entreprise de jardiniers passent chacun quelques années à cet endroit. Vers 1925, le demi-étage est remplacé par un étage complet. Vers 1945, une entreprise spécialisée dans les uniformes et les produits destinés aux hôpitaux et aux hôtels s'installe dans le magasin-entrepôt pour y demeurer jusque vers 1975. L'arrivée de restaurants à la fin des années 1970 transforme la fonction du bâtiment. Au début des années 2000, deux restaurants occupent le bâtiment.

In 1868, Persillier dit Lachapelle built a warehouse store that was three and a half storeys. It was most likely a rebuild after a fire, the ground floor being very similar to that of the large replacement house, built about 25 years earlier, with a mixed function of commercial and residential. The architect of the new building was Narcisse Larue.
The warehouse store originally comprised two rental spaces of different sizes. The building welcomed its first two occupants. For eleven years, from 1869 to 1880, William L. Haldimand & Co., wholesale and retail hardware stores, rented the larger rental space, most likely occupying the ground floor in addition to a portion of the upper floors. It is interesting to note that this tenant had occupied the old building since at least 1851. From 1869 to 1870, the merchant Hyacinthe Busseau also rented space, more modest than that of William L. Haldimand & Co. The original function of this store-warehouse was commercial.
After the departure of William L. Haldimand & Co., several tenants settled in the building but did not stay there for very long. From the end of the 19th century to the 1940s, a saddler, two hardware stores, a dry goods merchant, an importer of luxury goods, a soap manufacturer and a gardeners' business each spent a few years there. Around 1925, the half-floor was replaced by a complete floor. Around 1945 a company specializing in uniforms and products for hospitals and hotels settled in the warehouse and remained there until around 1975. The arrival of restaurants in the late 1970s transformed the function of the building. In the early 2000s, two restaurants occupied the building.
