I recovered this U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Forest Service disk from 1935 in good condition. This disk series is also listed on a topography map as 'BM 4899'. The NGS datasheet description is adequate for station recovery although the old sawmill and nearby witness post are both gone. My more accurate coordinates should place you close to this mark.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1940 20.8 MI SE FROM BIEBER. 20.8 MILES SOUTHEAST ALONG THE ROAD LEADING TO SUSANVILLE FROM THE POST OFFICE AT BIEBER, LASSEN COUNTY, ABOUT 200 FEET WEST OF THE JUNCTION OF THE ROAD LEADING TO HAYDEN HILL, 135 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE ROAD LEADING TO SUSANVILLE, 135 FEET SOUTHEAST OF AN OLD MILL, 90 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF WILLOW CREEK, IN THE TOP OF A ROCK OUTCROP PAINTED USFS 4893.4, ABOUT 3 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND, AND NEAR A WHITE WOODEN WITNESS POST. THE TOP OF AN IRON ROD.
