"Dès fin mai, c'est la vie en rose dans les rues de la commune.... Chedigny s'enorgueillit de la beauté que lui confère toutes ces fleurs.
En 1998, la municipalité a voulu redonner à sa commune un joli cachet rural en lançant l'idée de planter un peu partout des rosiers. Les habitants enthousiastes ont suivi et se sont même approprié ce patrimoine végétal et architectural en prolongeant le jardin de rue par de superbes jardins privés.
C'est André Ève, rosiériste aujourd'hui à la retraite qui a conçu tout l'aménagement du bourg.
Cette initiative a été complétée par la suppression des trottoirs et, à leur place, la plantation de plantes vivaces en complément des rosiers.
Cet embellissement floral a valu à Chédigny d’entrer au collège des Parcs et Jardins de la région Centre en octobre 2012 au même titre que Chenonceaux."
