EN: The Leaning Tower is one of the most famous buildings in the world and the landmark of the Italian city of Pisa. The original is 55 meters high. The construction was begun in 1173 and had to be interrupted several times due to the inclination, until finally in 1372 the bell chamber was completed. The church area with the tower is today a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
This copy of the tower is about 80 cntimeters high and is located on a public path through the sports grounds of a school in Möriken-Wildegg. Behind the disguise as the Leaning Tower, a normal waste bin is hidden.
DE: Der Schiefe Turm ist eines der berühmtesten Gebäude der Welt und das Wahrzeichen der italienischen Stadt Pisa. Das Original ist 55 Meter hoch. Der Bau wurde 1173 begonnen und musste durch die Neigung immer wieder unterbrochen werden, bis endlich 1372 auch die Glockenstube vollendet war. Das Kirchengelände mit dem Turm ist heute ein UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.
Diese Kopie des Turms ist etwa 80 Zentimeter hochund befindet sich an einem öffentlichen Weg durch die Sportplätze einer Schule in Möriken-Wildegg. Hinter der Verkleidung als Schiefer Turm verbirgt sich ein ganz normaler Abfalleimer.
