Der Wasserturm wurde im Stil des Historismus oberhalb des Schlossparks Teutschenthal errichtet. Er versorgte die Wasseranlagen des zum Schloss Teutschenthal gehörenden Parks.

Ob und wie der Wasserturm heute genutzt wird, ist unbekannt.

The water tower was built in the style of historicism above the castle park Teutschenthal. The tower provided the water installation of the park belonging to Teutschenthal Castle.

Whether and how the water tower is used today is unknown.
